The blockade will be introduced in Ukraine in early January. due to the rapid spread of the new coronavirus COVID-19. Decision on timing strict quarantine and its conditions must be adopted by the Cabinet during its meeting on Wednesday, December 9.
This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Health, the chief doctor of state health of Ukraine, Viktor Lyashko, writes “Ukrainian Truth.”
“The decision will be on Wednesday with a specific date. Three possible dates are being considered, all of this is early January,” Lyashko was quoted as saying by Interfax-Ukraine.
What will be closed during the closure in January 2021 in Ukraine:
- governmental agencies;
- schools;
- kindergartens;
- gyms, fitness centers;
- restaurants, cafes, entertainment venues;
- SEC, non-grocery stores are likely closed.
What will be allowed during the closure in January 2021 in Ukraine:
- ski resorts (so people can relax and get out of the megacities. Restaurants and restrooms in ski resorts will be closed);
- hotels near the ski resorts (breakfast will be allowed to be provided to guests);
- churches (one visitor for every 5 square meters);
- public transport with restrictions (it is not known exactly who will have the right to use it);
- grocery stores;
- pharmacy
- Fuel station;
- Catering establishments may work on the delivery and issuance of orders.
The lists of prohibitions and restrictions are still preliminary.
Earlier, the Health Ministry noted that a three-week quarantine in January 2021 will reduce the number of daily patients to around 6-8,000 per day. Now this figure is up to 14 thousand daily.
Officials have not yet officially named the exact dates for the introduction of the blockade. Tentatively, the start can be from January 2, 2021 and for three weeks.
