Health Minister Maxim Stepanov said the government is still working on the final version of the blockade in Ukraine. The decision to tighten the quarantine will be made on December 9.
On the air of the TV channel Ukraine 24, he said that now it is known about the closure in Ukraine.
In particular, according to the minister, all transport will continue to operate under strict quarantine.
«I think it is (start of the confinement – ed.) will not be on January 2. When we talk about the ultimate limitations that will work, they will all be effective … It is important to have a real lock, not a fake one. Therefore, it is very important to explain to people why we want to introduce a strict quarantine. Because at the end of January – the beginning of February, we have a seasonal increase in the incidence of influenza and we must address it with the least amount of coronavirus patients, ”he said.
When will a total blockade be introduced in Ukraine?
NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov said that the blockade in Ukraine will be introduced in any case, in December or early January.
The Ministry of Health proposes to introduce a strict quarantine in Ukraine from the beginning of January.
According to NV sources, the blockade will be introduced from January 2, 2021, if in two weeks the number of patients remains around 20 thousand per day.
RBC-Ukraine sources claim that the quarantine in Ukraine may be tightened from January 2 to 23. At the same time, we are no longer talking about a total lockdown.
