China’s Foreign Ministry demanded that Ukraine protect the interests of Chinese investors

The Chinese Foreign Ministry took into account the statements of the Ukrainian authorities about the return of Motor Sich to state ownership and, at the same time, demands to protect the interests of Chinese companies and investors.

This statement was made by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, Hua Chunying, during a press conference, according to the department’s website.

“We have taken note of the relevant statements (about the return of the Motor Sich plant to state ownership – Ed.). China demands that Ukraine protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies and investors in accordance with the law and properly resolve related issues, “the Chinese Foreign Ministry said.

Let us remind you that the decision was made at the meeting of the National Defense and Security Council to return the Motor Sich plant to state ownership “by constitutional means.” According to NSDC Secretary Danilov, at the meeting they did not talk about the nationalization of Motor Sich, but about “giving it back to the people.”

At the same time, the de facto decision has already been executed: the Shevchenko court has already transferred the corporate rights of the company to the property of the Asset Management Agency.
