Chinese investors in Motor Sich intend to sue the Ukrainian authorities
The Chinese authorities require Ukraine to take into account the interests of Chinese investors in the company issue.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry commented on Friday, March 12, on the intention of the Ukrainian authorities to nationalize the Motor Sich company, whose shares are owned by Chinese investors, reports TASS.
“We demand that Ukraine take into account the legal rights of Chinese companies and investors,” said Zhao Lijian, a spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
He noted that Beijing is closely monitoring the situation.
“China insists that this issue be resolved in the right way,” the diplomat added.
Let us remind you that in early March Parliament announced its intention to pass a law on the nationalization of Motor Sich. This issue was approved the day before at a meeting of the Security and National Defense Council. The head of the Security Council, Aleksey Danilov, said the company would go back to state ownership. Investors are promised compensation.
