Chinese President Xi Jinping proposed the creation of an international mechanism for the mutual recognition of “health codes” based on the results of coronavirus (COVID-19) tests.
The President of the People’s Republic of China said this during the G20 online summit, the Xinhua news agency reported.
It should be noted that the health code will be based on “the results of nucleic acid tests of the coronavirus marking in the form of internationally recognized QR codes.” The Chinese leader noted that he would like not only G20 participants, but also other countries in the world to join in this process.
Let us explain that in China, since the spring of 2020, a system of “health codes” has already been in operation. Then each person receives a “red”, “yellow” or “green” QR code, taking into account tests for coronavirus, being in regions with a severe epidemic situation, communicating with patients with COVID-19 and other data. To visit many places, the QR code must be “green”.
