China launched the world’s first 6G test satellite. It’s to demonstrate how well experimental sixth-generation network technology works, the BBC reported.

The satellite successfully entered orbit along with 12 other vehicles after launching a rocket from the Taiyuan Cosmodrome in Shanxi Province.

It is known that the 6G experimental apparatus was developed by Chengdu Guoxing Aerospace Science and Technology in conjunction with the China University of Electronic Science and Technology and Beijing MinoSpace Technology.

The technology uses high-frequency terahertz waves to achieve data transfer rates many times faster than the possible speed of 5G.

Earlier it was learned that a new CERES-1 private launch vehicle, intended for commercial use, made its first flight in China. It sent a satellite into a certain orbit.

And on September 15, China for the first time successfully launched the Changzheng-11 carrier rocket from a sea launch in the Yellow Sea. Nine spacecraft belonging to the Jilin-1 Gaofen 03-1 constellation of satellites were launched into orbit.
