Further investigation into the MH17 disaster case in Donbas in the summer of 2014 focuses on the identification of the crew of the Buk anti-aircraft missile launcher. They are also trying to establish suspects higher in the hierarchy.

Deputy Attorney General Gunduz Mammadov stated this in an interview with Ukrinform.

According to him, witnesses will appear at the trial in Holland, whose names will be classified for security reasons. He also emphasized that the investigation will not stop at the four current defendants.

“It is very important to identify all the people involved in this terrible crime. I can only inform you that the task of the members of the joint investigation team has not changed. Now the investigation aims to identify the crew of the Buk missile launcher and the superiors in the hierarchy, “Mammadov added.

Recall, earlier it was reported that the court in the MH17 case decided to question the Russian army of the 53rd anti-aircraft missile brigade in Kursk. The investigation wants to establish its participation in the transport of the Buk to Donbass.

In addition, the court has already rejected the consideration of alternative versions of the MH17 accident. In the Netherlands, they are trying to prove that the passenger plane was shot down by the Russian Buk and that Russia was involved in the accident.
