In January, car production in Ukraine decreased by 29%
During the year, automobile production in Ukraine has decreased by more than a quarter. At the same time, bus production was cut in half.
In January 2021, 604 vehicle units were manufactured in Ukraine, 29% less than in the same period in 2020. This was reported by the Ukrainian Automobile Manufacturers Association Ukravtoprom on Wednesday, February 10.
“Most passenger cars were produced last month – 576 units. ZAZ produced 325 passenger cars and Eurocar 251. Despite the fact that in January this year, the statistics in this segment were formed by two companies: ZAZ and Eurocar, and not one, like last year, passenger car production fell almost 27 percent on an annualized basis, “it was reported.
At the same time, the production of commercial vehicles (excluding AvtoKrAZ, which stopped disclosing information about its production since August 2016) amounted to 4 units. – this is half what a year ago. As in January 2020, they were all manufactured at the Cherkassky Bus plant.
