If a holiday or non-business day coincides with a day off, the day off is carried over to the day after the holiday or non-business day.

The government of Ukraine has published a list of official holidays in 2021. According to calculations by the Ministry of Economy, in 2021 Ukrainians will work 250 calendar days and rest 115, reports the press service of the department on August 30.

List of holidays and non-working days in Ukraine in 2021:

  • 1 of January New Year

  • January 7 – Nativity of Christ

  • March 8 – International Women’s Day

  • May 1 – Labor Day

  • May 2 – Easter

  • May 9 – Day of victory over Nazism in World War II

  • June 20 – Trinidad

  • June 28 – Constitution Day

  • August 24 – Independence Day

  • October 14 – Defender’s Day

  • December 25 – Nativity of Christ

Also, according to the law, if a holiday or non-business day coincides with a day off, the day off is postponed to the day after the holiday or non-business day. Next year will be days like this:

  • Saturday and Sunday May 1 and 2 is postponed to Monday and Tuesday May 3 and 4;

  • day off Sunday, May 9 – Monday, May 10;

  • day off Sunday June 20 – Monday June 21;

  • Free day Saturday December 25 – Monday December 27.

It was previously reported that in September 2020, the average monthly temperature is expected to be in the range of 14-19 degrees Celsius, and in mountainous areas, 11-12 degrees Celsius. This is 1-2 degrees higher than the long-term average.
