Official employees will receive compensation for the weekend quarantine
The government will support companies and unemployed workers during the weekend, but only if they are officially employed.
The Cabinet of Ministers is committed to financially supporting companies and workers who will lose income due to the weekend quarantine, if the employees work officially. This was announced on the air of the Dom television channel by the Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Oleg Nemchinov.
“We turn to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry so that the case is recognized as force majeure, and the people who rent premises or take, can make use of this right to compensate. We hope that this period (weekend quarantine, – ed.) Will be short and will not be necessary to resort to more severe measures. But if the weekend quarantine is not fully implemented, unfortunately sooner or later we will come to a total lockdown, “Nemchinov said.
He noted that most people who want compensation work unofficially, but the rules should be the same for everyone.
“These are additional payments that were made to the entrepreneurs, even during the first blockade,” Nemchinov said.
It should be noted that the Cabinet of Ministers will also make changes to the “5-7-9” affordable loan program: entrepreneurs will be able to reissue a loan or get an interest-free “vacation”.
“We hope that this period (weekend quarantine – ed.) Will be short and we will not have to resort to more severe measures. But if the weekend quarantine is not fully implemented, unfortunately sooner or later we will reach a total lockdown “. Earlier it was reported that in Ukraine a new anti-registration of COVID-19 – 11,787 new cases of infection.
We will remember, as of November 14, that a weekend quarantine is introduced in Ukraine. The new restrictions will take effect from 00:00 hours on Saturday until 00:00 hours on Sunday. At this time, the work of entertainment establishments, restaurants, cafes, gyms, non-grocery stores, and shopping and entertainment centers will be prohibited.
