The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is preparing for a possible transition to online work. Today they plan to approve the relevant regulations.

Prime Minister Denis Shmygal announced this at a government meeting.

According to him, the danger of the spread of COVID-19 in Ukraine remains constantly high, and this is evidenced by the incidence statistics.

“To ensure the smooth functioning of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, I consider it necessary to adopt resolutions on the possibility of holding government meetings online. The Verkhovna Rada has already been approved, the committees are conducted in this way,” he said.

Shmygal added that the government will not necessarily switch to remote work, but there should be an alternative plan in the face of growing threats from COVID-19.

We will recall, earlier Shmygal said that the quarantine in Ukraine could be extended after October 31. According to him, in September-October there will be a tense moment associated with the next wave of coronavirus.

Ukraine’s Health Minister Maxim Stepanov predicts an increase in coronavirus infections at the beginning of the academic year.
