Cabinet dropped the issue of a lifetime scholarship for Zelensky’s father from consideration

At a meeting on Wednesday, September 2, the Cabinet of Ministers withdrew from consideration President Volodymyr Zelensky’s draft decree on the allocation of a lifetime state scholarship to outstanding educators, including the father of the head of state, Alexander Zelensky.

This is demonstrated by the document published on the government website, as well as the transmission of the government meeting.

So, according to the project, it was proposed to award a lifetime scholarship to five educators who have turned 70. Including – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Alexander Zelensky.

Note that the president’s father works as head of the Department of Computing and Information Technology at the Krivoy Rog Economic Institute (a branch of Vadim Hetman KNEU). In addition, scholarships will be awarded to: Ivan Dzamulich, Svetlana Dubrovskaya, Stepan Lomak, Cheslav Pulka.

As seen in the meeting broadcast (from 28:20 – Ed.), The Cabinet removed the issue from the agenda.

It should be noted that the size of a lifetime scholarship for outstanding educators is 1.5 times the subsistence minimum for people who have lost the ability to work. That is, now it is 2 568 UAH.
