President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed bills to support companies during the quarantine in Ukraine. In particular, the documents provide financial assistance to companies affected by the restrictions.

This is reported by the Office of the President of Ukraine.

The approved documents provide for the provision of assistance in the amount of 8 thousand hryvnia to employees who have lost part of their wages due to quarantine and to sole proprietors who have lost part of their income due to restrictions.

FOPs registered less than three months before the entry into force of the law, which in 2020 paid ERUs for themselves in less than three months, as well as those whose type of activity is not subject to quarantine, will not be able to receive assistance.

Companies will also receive one-time financial assistance for payments to hired workers so as not to cut them during quarantine. This rule applies to companies that, at the time of the entry into force of the law, were forced to reduce or may reduce the duration of employees’ working hours due to downtime due to quarantine.

In addition, it provides a one-time compensation to business entities in order to reimburse costs incurred to pay ERUs for mandatory state social insurance.

Zelenskiy also approved the extension of licenses for the sale of alcohol during the quarantine period, as well as within three months after its completion.

In addition, the head of state approved the cancellation of tax debt of taxpayers in the event that the total amount of debt for all taxes and fees does not exceed 3060 UAH. Taxpayers of the unified tax of the first group are exempt from paying this tax for December 2020 and January-May 2021.

Until December 29, 2021, the repayment of the tax debt of natural persons, including the self-employed, has been postponed if the total amount does not exceed 6,800 UAH.

Recall that the president’s bill on financial assistance to entrepreneurs during the quarantine was supported by the Rada on December 4.
