Great Britain made a geographical mistake

Today, September 23, the first stage of the United Efforts 2020 large-scale military exercises began in Ukraine. At the same time, in Britain, the Nikolaev region was called “Russia’s backyard”.

The British Defense Department signed a post about the start of the exercise on its Twitter page: “We have landed in Russia’s backyard.” Later the text was changed, but the name of the image remained the same: “We stopped in the backyard of Russia.”

It should be noted that in the first stage of the exercise, in addition to the Ukrainian army, units from NATO member states, including the United States and Great Britain, will participate. Ukraine’s Defense Ministry noted that the exercises are carried out in a unique format.

The purpose of such exercises is to practice practical implementation of tasks in a multinational environment according to NATO standards. It should also increase the level of compatibility between units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and partner states.

Recall, the popular American edition of the New York Post got into a scandal after it indicated that Kiev is Russia and misspelled the capital of Ukraine.

Earlier, the Ukrainian writer Larisa Nitsoy raised a scandal in a supermarket in Kiev. The cashier who attended the writer did not want to speak to her in Ukrainian. The woman said that she has every right to speak Russian and is generally from Vladivostok.
