Dozens of deputies in parliament suffer from coronavirus

Parliament will decide on a full quarantine in the country next Friday. Before that, they plan to hear from Maxim Stepanov and the entire cabinet first.

The Verkhovna Rada will decide on the restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic this week, or rather, on Friday, December 4. But first, ministers will be heard, including Health Minister Maxim Stepanov. This was stated by the head of the Servants of the People party, Alexander Kornienko, speaking at a meeting of the Conciliation Council on Monday, November 30.

“As for the question of the government, of course, now the number one issue in the country is medicine, a pandemic, possible variants of the blockades. My personal opinion is that … a blockade … should have as its main objective to reduce the growth rate of the epidemic and preserve the health of all Ukrainians … “, – said Kornienko.

He added that the entire Cabinet of Ministers and, in particular, the head of the Ministry of Health, Maxim Stepanov, will be invited to parliament – “to answer questions about the fight against the epidemic and possible options for quarantines, closures.”

“I think that by Friday everything will be known,” clarified the People’s Deputy.

Can’t avoid blocking. When to expect full quarantine

Before that, the head of the Servant of the People faction, David Arahamia, stated that there are now no prerequisites for a shutdown. According to him, there are enough beds in Ukraine at the moment and, so far, there are no prerequisites for the immediate introduction of a strict quarantine.
