The Ukrainian embassy has already sent a note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina demanding to know how the Lugansk icon ended up in the country.
The Embassy of Ukraine in Bosnia and Herzegovina sent a note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina regarding the fact that the 300-year-old Ukrainian icon was presented to the head of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sergei Lavrov. This was reported by Radio Liberty on Thursday, December 17.
“According to local media reports, the Ukrainian Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina sent a note to the government in Sarajevo demanding to find out immediately and unequivocally how the golden icon of Lugansk ended up in the country,” the article says.
The icon was presented to Lavrov by the President of the Presidium of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbian representative Milorad Dodik, when he visited Bosnia and Herzegovina.
A photo of the icon was also posted, showing a wax seal, indicating that the icon belongs to Ukraine.
Let us remind you that a calendar with “Russian” Crimea was previously published in Poland. The calendar for 2021 was published by the Religious Union of Muslims of Poland. The Ukrainian Embassy has already sent a note to the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
It was also reported that Ukraine condemned the “parade” of the Russian Federation in Sevastopol. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine sent a protest note to Russia for holding a military parade in annexed Crimea.
