The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, will arrive in Ukraine on September 22 on a working visit. He is scheduled to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the Ukrainian ministers.
This was reported by the press service of the European Commission.
During the visit, Borrell reportedly plans to meet with Zelenskiy, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and Defense Minister Dmytro Taran. In addition, he plans to visit the European Union Advisory Mission in Ukraine (EUAM).
Note that Borrell postponed his first visit to Ukraine, which was scheduled for March 15. The reason for this delay was the spread of the coronavirus infection and quarantine measures.
We recall, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmitry Kuleba, agreed with the Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement of the European Union, Oliver Vargei, to accelerate the work on the “no industrial visa”.
Also previously, Borrell advocated supporting Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression and maintaining sanctions against the Russian Federation.
