I will always be European – Stanley Johnson
The father of the British chief of staff announced that he was receiving French citizenship. He said he is against Brexit and considers himself a European.
The British Prime Minister’s father, Boris Johnson, applied for French citizenship after the United Kingdom left the European Union. This was announced by Stanley Johnson himself on the air of the French radio station RTL on Thursday, December 31.
The prime minister’s 80-year-old father said he did not vote for Britain to leave the EU and wants to maintain ties with the EU, as his mother and grandmothers were French.
“I will always be European, that’s for sure. You cannot tell a Briton that he is not European. It is important to maintain ties with the European Union,” Stanley Johnson said in French.

We will recall, Britain and the EU signed an agreement on the deal. Until complete ratification, the temporary use of the trade agreement will be in effect.
Later it became known that the British Parliament approved the agreement with the European Union. The document has already been approved by the House of Commons, then it will be adopted by the House of Lords and signed by the Queen.
