Boeing Australia unveiled a prototype Loyal Wingman artificial intelligence unmanned aerial vehicle. The device is intended for the Australian Air Force, writes CNN.

The new plane was shown on Tuesday May 5 in Sydney.

According to the company’s engineers, the drones will be able to participate in electronic warfare, as well as reconnaissance and surveillance missions.

The plane has a length of 11.5 meters, its flight range is two thousand miles (3.2 thousand kilometers).

“This is the first aircraft designed and manufactured in Australia in more than 50 years,” the corporation said in a statement.

We previously wrote that in the United States we conducted new tests of the Boeing 777X. Four planes are involved in the tests. One of them has been in the air for more than 100 hours.

Boeing was also reported to have discovered new problems in the 737 MAX coatings. The defect is associated with the operation of the sensor, warning about the malfunction of the balance system.
