Bloomberg informant and journalist Jason Schreyer said who was involved in a mass leak over the plot of The Last of Us Part II. According to him, a group of hackers is behind this. Schreier tweeted about this.
An informant added that the hackers most likely took data from the first assembly of The Last of Us Part II. He also again denied the rumor that there was a disgruntled employee behind the leak, to whom the studio had not paid the promised bonuses. Schreier noted that, according to him, Naughty Dog has increased the amount of developer salaries and health insurance in the context of the coronavirus pandemic.
Plot details for The Last of Us Part II surfaced online on April 27. Later, user reddit said the leak may have been arranged by one of the Naughty Dog studio employees, but Jason Schreyer called this information false. May 1, Sony also denied this version. Read more about this here.
The Last of Us Part II was scheduled for release on May 29, however due to the worst situation due to the coronavirus pandemic, Sony postponed the release until June 19. The game will become an exclusive PlayStation 4.
