In Kiev, the severe restrictions will take effect on April 5. The ban covers the use of public transportation for everyone except doctors, rescuers, law enforcement officers and representatives of some other professions. But it will be more likely to come from the suburbs to the capital.
Vasily Volodin, head of the Kiev Regional State Administration, spoke about the organization of suburban passenger transport.
During the closure, the region’s suburban transport will go to Kiev, although the number of seats will be limited. Commenting on the quarantine restrictions, Volodin noted that the minibuses were not canceled just on the condition that the cabin occupancy does not exceed 50% of the seats.
“We do not completely close transportation, because we have very long distances throughout the region. We leave 50% of the seats, and we comply with this requirement, but we force transportation to run only during peak hours,” says the president. .
At the same time, according to him, a special pass will not be required to get to the capital.
“First: in fact, we will have transport to Kiev. The issue of obtaining special passes for Kiev is already regulated by Kiev. And companies received these special passes. But we must not forget that we have a transport service between cities within the region, “adds Volodin.
According to him, if passengers arriving from the region do not have a special pass for the company in the capital, “this is already the regulation of Kiev, not the region.”
