The road safety program provides a list of specific measures for 2021-2023.

The government approved a road safety improvement program for 2021-2023. UAH 2.4 billion will be allocated for its implementation in 2021, said Kirill Khomyakov, chairman of the State Agency for Infrastructure Projects of Ukraine. About this on Monday, December 21, writes ZN.

According to Khomyakov, for these funds they plan to equip areas for the rest of truckers, pedestrian crossings and ghosts, they also plan to install self-correction cameras and weighing complexes on the roads.

“They plan to build 20 roundabouts, 5 places to eliminate the concentration of road accidents, install 300 gate systems, create 400 illuminated crosswalks and traffic lights on demand, as well as 5 multi-level crosswalks,” the newspaper writes.

In addition, according to the chairman of the State Agency for Infrastructure Projects, 28 automatic weighing and weighing complexes in motion and 5 platforms for stopping overloaded trucks will be installed on Ukrainian roads.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that around 4,200 km of roads of national importance in Ukraine will be repaired and built by the end of the year.

Also, the head of Ukravtodor named the cost of one kilometer of the road. According to him, this year the cost of road works was reduced, even due to a change in the project preparation procedure.
