The team of US President-elect Joe Biden is considering different options for Russia’s response to hacker attacks on US government agencies.
This was announced by the new head of the White House administration, Ron Klein, reports “Reuters”.
“This is not just about sanctions, but about measures by which we could reduce the possibility of such cyberattacks from abroad,” said Ron Klein.

It is noted that Biden, who will become president on January 20, is likely to receive bipartisan support for the reaction to the spy campaign, as two senators noted Sunday.
Republican Sen. Mitt Romney said the data breach caused “extremely serious damage.”
“This requires a response,” he said. “This is something we must resolve as soon as possible.”
US Senator Mark Warner, the top Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee, said the attack could still continue and officials have not yet determined its full scope.
“This is a gray area between espionage and attack,” Warner said. However, he supported Romney’s call for retaliation and said Washington must make it clear to its opponents that “if they take that step, we and others will fight back.”
