The Russian Federation said they wanted to openly discuss “accumulated bilateral problems, as well as issues of strategic stability.”
“Another opportunity to find a way out of the impasse that has been formed by Washington in Russian-American relations has been lost. The responsibility for this lies entirely with the United States,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
We will recall, last week, that US President Joe Biden called Vladimir Putin a murderer and said he would pay for meddling in the elections. At the same time, the White House said Biden did not regret calling Putin a murderer.
In response to this accusation, Putin said that “he wishes Biden good health”, and also that “whoever calls his name is called that.”
In this context, the Russian Foreign Ministry began preparations for a new conversation between Putin and Biden. The Kremlin noted that Russia will strive to maintain relations with the United States.
In turn, Biden noted that the conversation with Putin will take place “at some point.”
