Ukrainian sportswoman Marina Bekh-Romanchuk won the long jump competition in the last stage Diamond League 2020which takes place in Doha, the capital of Qatar.
The world runner-up on the decisive sixth attempt jumped 6.91m, and this was her best result of the current season.
The competition had experimental format– The sixth decisive jump was made only by the three best athletes at that time. And the places were distributed precisely according to the result in the final jump, not all previous attempts were taken into account.
Sweden’s Haddi Sanya, who was in the lead after 5 attempts (6.85), took third place with a failed last jump (6.55). The silver medal was won by Eze Bruma from Nigeria (6.71 in the preliminary, 6.68 in the last attempt).
