The Belarusian authorities have prepared a list of sanctions against the European Union. This decision was made in response to the imposition of sanctions by the EU.

This is stated in the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.

Minsk said they are opposed to the confrontation, but will respond decisively to “hostile actions”.

“In relation to the visa sanctions adopted by the EU against various Belarusian officials, the Belarusian side is introducing a list of reciprocal sanctions as of today.

At the same time, the Belarusian authorities did not publish the sanctions list “in accordance with established civilized diplomatic practice”.

Let us remind you that the European Union has agreed to introduce sanctions against the representatives of the Belarusian authorities, which will come into force from next week. At the same time, Alexander Lukashenko was not included in the list.

RBC-Ukraine also wrote that Canada and Great Britain imposed sanctions on Lukashenka, his son Viktor and nine other officials.
