Beds for COVID-19 patients more than 70% full in two regions

In Ukraine, hospital beds for COVID-19 patients are more than 70% full in two regions. On average, 52% of those beds are occupied in the country.

This is demonstrated by data from the Ministry of Health.

The busiest hospitals are in the Poltava (73.9%) and Cherkassy (70.2%) regions. In Kiev, 54.3% of beds are occupied.

In total, 53,445 hospital beds for COVID-19 have already been introduced in Ukraine.

In addition, the incidence of coronavirus disease continues to grow in the country. As of November 21 in Ukraine, this figure is 424.7, while the norm is 40. The worst situation is observed in the Sumy region – 727.2. In Kiev, the figure is 491.7.

Recall that in Ukraine during the last day, 14,580 people were infected with coronavirus. This is the highest rate since the start of the pandemic. During the day 215 people died.

In addition, the representative of the Office of the President Kirill Tymoshenko did not rule out the introduction of a complete blockade in Ukraine. The restrictions may increase if Ukrainians do not comply with the weekend quarantine.

We add that the head of the Ministry of Health, Maxim Stepanov, said that the Ministry of Health will require a lockdown in Ukraine, when 30 thousand coronavirus patients will be registered daily.
