At the Church House Stadium in London (Great Britain), a heavyweight fight took place between the British Daniel Dubois (15-1, 14 KO) and Joe Joyce (12-0, 11 KO), who came to the duel full time without defeat.

Dubois tried to actively fight, but failed to corner the opponent. Joyce, in turn, was constantly hitting with a jab, and this tactic brought the result: Dubois’s left eye was closed by a bruise.

The fight ended in the 10th round by TKO. After another hit from Joyce, Dubois fell to one knee and didn’t get up.

After the fight, Joyce announced that he was ready to fight Alexander Usyk for the WBO title. If Anthony Joshua vacates the title, the Ukrainian will fight one of the contenders.

Dubois was named the lead candidate, but now he’s dropped off the list and Joyce could become a contender.

It’s funny that Joyce, 35, fought Usik in 2013 and was defeated.
