Former political prisoner Volodymyr Balukh underwent surgery after being beaten, he is now in intensive care. This was announced by the deputy of “European Solidarity” Irina Gerashchenko.
“The operation ended, he (Balukh) was transferred to intensive care. Volodya has a serious head injury, the operation was on his head, his condition is serious,” Gerashchenko said.
The Kiev prosecutor’s office said that during the first-priority investigative actions, law enforcement officers established the place where the victim was on the eve and the people with whom he communicated. Investigators work with these witnesses. In addition, law enforcement officers found a bag with Balukh’s personal belongings.
Regarding the fact of Balukh’s beating, the investigation department of the Kiev Dnieper police department opened criminal proceedings under Part 4 of art. 187 (theft) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
It was previously reported that former political prisoner Vladimir Balukh was brutally beaten at night. His arm and collarbone are broken and there is no threat to his life.
