On Wednesday, December 23, an explosion occurred at the Baltimore Gas & Electric building in the US city of Baltimore. As a result of the incident, at least ten people were injured.

Reports from CBS Baltimore.

According to the newspaper, nine people are in critical condition, another is in serious condition.

The roof partially collapsed from the explosion in the building.

The two contractors who washed the windows of the building clung to the scaffolding on the side of the building for about 30 minutes. They were later rescued by firefighters, who smashed a window on the 10th and 11th floors and evacuated people. In total, 21 people were rescued from the building.

It is noted that most of the building was empty due to the upcoming holidays and the pandemic.

Baltimore Gas & Electric said work is underway on the building’s boiler and air control system, which is likely the cause of the explosion.

We will remember, in August, in the American city of Baltimore, Maryland, there was an explosion of several houses. As a result, four people died and were injured.

Additionally, 21 people were previously injured in a fire and subsequent explosion on the USS Bonhomme Richard at the San Diego Naval Base. Among them, 17 sailors and four civilians.
