Units of the Armenian army are evacuated from Stepanakert, the capital of Nagorno-Karabakh, after an artillery barrage by the Azerbaijani army. This was announced on Friday, October 9 by the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan.

According to him, during the past day, the losses of the Armenian side amounted to 13 T-72 tanks, two infantry fighting vehicles, four BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket systems, two 2S3 Akatsia self-propelled artillery mounts, three D-30 howitzers and two radar systems.

In turn, the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army reported that at night the situation remained stable and tense, the operational-tactical situation on the front line did not change.

In some areas, skirmishes and artillery battles continued. “The enemy launched rockets and artillery attacks against peaceful settlements. The units of the Defense Army have total control of the operational and tactical situation,” the message says.

Recall that the Armenian Defense Ministry and the NKR have reported on their losses in the armed conflict, Azerbaijan does not reveal the data. Since the beginning of the escalation of the Karabakh conflict on September 27, 682 soldiers from Armenia and the army of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic have been killed.
