The highest salary was recorded in Kiev
Last month, Ukrainians received more compared to August last year, but less than in July this year.
In August 2020, the average nominal salary of a full-time employee of companies, institutions and organizations in Ukraine amounted to 11,446 UAH. This is 3.0% (358 hryvnia) less than in July (11,804 hryvnia), according to the State Statistics Service.
So, according to the statistics department, real wages (taking inflation into account) in August 2020 compared to August last year increased by 6.0%, nominal wages increased by 8.6%.
The highest accumulated salary in August was in Kiev – 16 795 hryvnia, the lowest – in the Chernivtsi region – 8 996 hryvnia. In most regions, the salary ranges from 9,000 to 10,000 hryvnia.
It is also noted that the highest salary is received in the field of information and telecommunications – 19 827 hryvnia, the lowest – Temporary accommodation and catering – 6 224 hryvnia, where monthly salaries increased by 7.0%.
Previously it was reported that the National Bank expects an increase in average salaries by 15%.
Let us remind you that since September 1 in Ukraine the “minimum wage” rose to 5000 UAH, and next year a double increase is expected: from January to 6000 UAH, and from July to 6,500 UAH.
