In France, five Chechens were arrested on suspicion of communicating with the terrorist who killed the history teacher. Le Figaro reported this with reference to a source reported on Wednesday, December 9.
The suspects are between 18 and 21 years old. They were arrested in the departments of Seine-Maritime and Haute-Loire. Investigators with the Anti-Terrorism Office suggest they interacted with the terrorist after a teacher showed cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad to his students.
Now the suspects will be in custody for up to 96 hours, pending charges of complicity in murder and participation in a terrorist community.
Recall that on October 16 a Chechen beheaded a history and geography professor in the French city of Conflans-Saint-Honorine. It was also reported that at the time of the removal of the beheaded teacher in France, a Chechen man was caught on video.
