The cities of Terter and Horadiz, near the de facto border with Nagorno-Karabakh, were also heavily bombarded from the Armenian side.

The Armenian armed forces fired on the city of Ganja, the second largest city in Azerbaijan. This was reported on Sunday, October 4, by the Reuters news agency with reference to the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry.

In addition, the cities of Terter and Horadiz near the de facto border with Nagorno-Karabakh came under heavy bombardment from the Armenian side, according to the Azerbaijani military department.

Armenia denies bombing Azerbaijani territory, but Nagorno-Karabakh leader Arayik Harutyunyan said his troops destroyed a military air base located in Ganja.

“The regular military units, located in the big cities of Azerbaijan, will henceforth become targets for the defense of the Nagorno-Karabakh army,” he said.

Earlier, the Armenian Defense Ministry stated that the defense army of the unrecognized republic of Nagorno-Karabakh stopped the offensive of the Azerbaijani armed forces, which began on Saturday morning, October 3.
