Turkey participates in the Karabakh conflict by sending mercenaries, military advisers and equipment to Azerbaijan, they say in Yerevan.

Armenian President Armen Sarkissian claims that Turkey is assisting Azerbaijan in the war against Karabakh not only with mercenaries, but also with F-16 fighters, Interfax writes on Monday, September 28.

“NATO member Turkey provides comprehensive assistance to Azerbaijan in the form of drones, cyberattacks, advisers, mercenaries and even F-16 fighters,” Sargsyan said.

The Armenian president believes that the conflict in the region can be resolved through dialogue. “There is a platform: the Minsk Group of the OSCE with the participation of Russia, the United States and France. We must return to dialogue,” he said.

Sargsyan also claimed that the Armenian people cannot allow the past to return.

“105 years ago, the Ottoman Empire carried out the genocide of the Armenians. In no case can we allow this genocide to be repeated,” he said.

Earlier, Turkish President Recet Erdogan said that “the time has come to end the occupation of Armenia”, “you must abandon the occupied lands”, because “everyone knows that these are the lands of Azerbaijan.”
