Earlier in Nagorno-Karabakh, they admitted the loss of a strategic city, but in Yerevan they say the fighting continues.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announces the continuation of the fight for the strategically important city of Shushi, although the loss of the city was acknowledged in the unrecognized republic of Nagorno-Karabakh.
“The fight for Shushi continues,” Pashinyan wrote on Facebook on Monday, November 9.
For his part, NKR President Arayik Harutyunyan reported on hostilities around the perimeter.
“The fighting continues along the entire perimeter of the republic. The defense army and the NKR militias are firmly in their homeland, and we will fight the enemy to the end. Our united struggle can change the situation and we can drive out Artsakh’s enemy, “wrote Harutyunyan.
As you know, the town of Shushi is located 11 km from the capital of NKR Stepanakert. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced the capture of the city the day before. But Armenia said the outcome of the battles for Shushi will be clear on Monday.
