Apple introduced the second generation iPhone SE. Like the original iPhone SE, released in 2016, the new model features an iPhone 11 Bionic A13 processor in the iPhone 8 case.
The new 4.7-inch SE display (like the iPhone 8), a home button with a Touch ID fingerprint sensor on the bottom of the front, and a glass back cover. The box is made of aluminum and protected from moisture and dust.
At a press conference on April 15, Apple emphasized that the new SE adheres to the same principles as the original model: affordability, good performance, and small size.

The iPhone SE only has a rear camera: 12 megapixels, like the main one of the iPhone 11. At the same time, the phone supports portrait mode for the rear and front camera, but it only works when shooting people: through machine learning, iPhone separates people and Blurs the background. Previously, the selfie camera portrait mode was only available on Face ID enabled models.
The main camera of the iPhone SE is also compatible with Smart HDR, which first appeared on the iPhone XS, and recorded 4K video at 60 frames per second.

Like the iPhone 8, the new iPhone supports wireless charging. He also showed support for two SIM-cards: physical and eSIM. The iPhone SE will be available in black, white and red (with the front panel in all three black versions).
In USES Pre-ordering for the new model will open on April 17. The phone will go on sale on the 24th.
