After the base model of the iPhone 12, which Apple clearly relies on, the company has unveiled a new mini model – it’s called the iPhone 12 mini, as recent rumors have said. In short, everything we’ve heard about the iPhone 12 mini has been confirmed. In fact, this is the smallest Apple smartphone since the iPhone 5. It has a 5.4-inch screen, but thanks to the slim bezels, the novelty is more compact than the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and current iPhone SE (2020 ).
In fact, the iPhone 12 mini is the same iPhone 12, only in a more compact body. The dimensions of the iPhone 12 mini are 131.5 x 64.2 x 7.4 mm and it weighs 133 grams. For comparison, the dimensions of the iPhone 12 – 146.7 x 71.5 x 7.4 mm with a mass of 164 g. Apple calls the iPhone 12 mini “the smallest, thinnest and lightest 5G phone.”
The 5.4-inch OLED display on the iPhone 12 mini features a 2340-by-1080 resolution and a frame rate of 60 Hz.

Another difference between the iPhone 12 mini and the iPhone 12 is the lower capacity of the battery and, therefore, not as high autonomy. Apple promises up to 15 hours of video playback and up to 50 hours of audio playback.
Otherwise, the iPhone 12 mini – in terms of features and capabilities – is completely identical to the 6.1-inch base model of the iPhone 12, which we discussed in detail in the previous news. That is, it uses an identical A14 Bionic SoC, an identical dual main camera with two modules of the same 12 MP resolution with 26mm wide-angle optics with 13mm 120˚ optical and ultra-wide angle stabilization, as well as charging technology. Like the iPhone 12, the compact iPhone 12 mini is available in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB flash versions in black, white, red, green, and blue.
Priced for the iPhone, the 12 mini did the same trick as the other models. The 64GB iPhone 12 mini has a special starting price of $ 699. The usual starting price for the iPhone 12 mini is $ 729. The 128GB and 256GB versions of the iPhone 12 mini cost $ 779 and $ 879, respectively. The compact iPhone 12 mini will go on sale later along with the best 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max. Worldwide pre-orders for the iPhone 12 mini will begin on November 6, with actual sales starting exactly one week later, on November 13.
