The journalist recalled cases of unwanted pregnancies or pregnancies as a result of rape, but the deputy believes that this cannot be a sufficient reason for an abortion.

According to Kamelchuk, permission for abortion is “somewhere on the same level as allowing prostitution” for him.
On October 22, the Constitutional Court of Poland amended the 1993 law on family planning, protection of the human fetus and the conditions for allowing the termination of pregnancy. Among other things, the Constitutional Court prohibited abortion if the fetus was diagnosed with an incurable disease. The court’s decision sparked massive protests in Poland, which continue to this day.
