British WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (24-1, 23 KOs) made a successful defense against a Bulgarian Kubrata puleva (28-2, 14 KOs).
The fight lasted 9 rounds. Joshua actively worked on the Bullet with uppercuts, one of which ended in a knockdown for Kubrat. The Bulgarian got up, but Joshua landed a powerful right hook that put the 39-year-old veteran to sleep.
It is worth noting that the next must-have contender to fight Joshua is Alexander Usik (18-0, 13 KOs). But both Joshua himself and his entire team want to organize a fight with Tyson’s Fury (30-0-1, 21 KOs) for the title of undisputed champion of the heavyweight division.
Do you think Usyk will manage to eliminate the title fight by himself or will the Ukrainian still have to wait for a unifying fight? Leave your options in the comments.
Remember that Hearn promised that if Joshua wins, he will immediately begin negotiations with Fury’s team.
