Another new strain of coronavirus was discovered in the UK, which turned out to be more intense than the previous one.
This was reported by Reuters with reference to British Health Minister Matt Hancock. The two recently identified cases are contacts of patients who have traveled from South Africa in recent weeks.

“This new variant is of great concern because it spreads even faster and appears to have mutated more than the new strain that was recently discovered in the UK,” Hancock said.
He added that all visitors to South Africa will have to undergo a 10-day quarantine.
“At the moment, we have no evidence that the vaccine does not work against this strain of coronavirus,” said the minister.
According to him, the drug for the prevention of COVID-19 elicits a strong immune response, is quite broad and acts against many variations of the virus.
