The first batch of Indian-made Oxford / AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine was delivered to Zhytomyr. The region begins a vaccination campaign. This was announced on Wednesday night, February 24, by the head of the Zhytomyr Regional State Administration, Vitaliy Bunechko, on Facebook.
“The Zhytomyr region is one of the first in Ukraine to start vaccination against the coronavirus. The first batch of vaccines, consisting of 17,3 thousand doses of the drug produced by Oxford / AstraZeneca (Covishield), has just been delivered to Zhytomyr.” says the message. He says.
According to the governor, everyone, including doctors who work with covid patients, social workers and people in special institutions, as well as military personnel who participate in the JFO, will be the first to receive the vaccines.
In general, in the first stage, it is planned to vaccinate more than 3,600 inhabitants of the region free of charge and voluntarily, Bunechko reported.
We will recall, the previous vaccination against the coronavirus began in the Cherkasy, Kiev, Chernihiv and Vinnitsa regions. In all regions, medical workers received the first vaccines.
