During the last day, 8,513 new cases of coronavirus were detected in Ukraine. Most of the infections are found in Kiev and the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Ukraine’s Health Minister Maxim Stepanov announced this on his Facebook page.
Yesterday, 46,696 tests were carried out for coronavirus, in particular by PCR – 26,341, ELISA – 20,355.
During the last day, 232 people died, 14,020 people recovered and 1,318 patients were hospitalized.
The highest number of confirmed cases per day was recorded in the Kiev (1,159), Dnepropetrovsk (992), Odessa (914), Zaporozhye (665) and Kiev (559) regions.
During the entire time of the pandemic in Ukraine, 979,506 cases of coronavirus were confirmed.
Remember that the Ministry of Health of Ukraine has updated the testing algorithm for coronavirus. Now, the test will be performed on people who show signs of an acute respiratory viral infection.
Please note that the government announced an increase in quarantine from 00:00 on January 8 to 00:00 on January 25.
