The deputy head of the president’s office, Igor Zhovkva, said that during Polish President Andrzej Duda’s visit to Ukraine, significant emphasis will be placed on economic cooperation between the two countries. In particular, the parties will address the issue of infrastructure development.
He spoke about this in an interview with “Interfax-Ukraine”.
“The President of Poland will visit not only Kiev, but together with President Zelensky he will visit Odessa, where a separate business event will take place, which will be directed at infrastructure issues. Various agreements will be signed, in particular, regarding our maritime infrastructure, “Zhovkva said.
He added that the issue of relations between Ukraine and Poland is expanding into the field of economics.
“We are talking not only about politics, about the historical past, which will of course be discussed during the visit, but also about our economic relations. After all, Poland is one of our biggest partners in Europe in terms of trade,” He said.
Let us remember that Duda will be in Ukraine from October 11 to 13. Among other things, during the visit, negotiations will take place with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, and the Prime Minister, Denis Shmygal.
Previously, the presidents of the countries had a telephone conversation. Zelensky said that Duda’s second visit to Ukraine is further proof of the friendly and warm relations between Ukraine and Poland.
