His life ended tragically – he was crucified on an oblique cross, which is now called Andreevsky. December 13 is celebrated annually as the day of commemoration of the apostle.
Usually, they pray to him for the protection of the homeland and his family, marriage and the strengthening of the faith. It is approached by representatives of the maritime profession, especially fishermen. Today, Andrés the First Called can also be asked a request for the health and longevity of his family members who bear that name.
