“Kolos” has never conceded a goal in the new stadium. Rather, it should be seen as a coincidence, but before the match with “Minai” it was not believed that it was the Transcarpathian team that “printed” the door of “Kovalevka”. The reasons are prosaic. The worst attacking team in the league visited the Kolos field. In five matches, “Minaj” scored two goals – even hopelessly in terms of tournament prospects, “Lviv” scored more.
The spice was added by the fact that “Minaj” suffered only by the standards of his goals. “Alexandria” Shinder scored from a corner kick, and “Ingultsu” Nuriev, with a penalty. If it was possible to predict effective attacks by the Transcarpathian team, it was from the standards.
And so it happened. Nuriev scored again from the penalty spot (the validity of which is beyond doubt), and Shinder scored again with a header after taking … not a corner, but a free kick. A classic of the genre for Vasily Kobin’s team.
There are only a few nuances that make the situation non-trivial. In addition to the fact that “Minaj” was the first to remove the “spell” from the “Kovalyovka” stadium, the Transcarpathians for the first time in their history scored more goals in a UPL match. Nuriyev is involved in both events, but this is still not enough to consider the match an undisputed success for one of the leaders of “Minay”. The moment that took place in the middle of the first half could add even more historical value to the result. Anatoly could become the first scorer of “Minaya’s” goal in an elite match, could become the first scorer of a double in the history of the Transcarpathian team’s performances at the elite level, and could contribute to a new record performance of “Minaya” in the context of a Premier League match. The opportunity was perfect.
Nuriev is not an antihero. In the end, his team did not lose on the field to the representative of Ukraine in the European competition. But more could have been accomplished. Understanding that this was not done leaves a bitter residue.
