On the Bekhi-Sokoriki stretch in the Korostensky district of the Zhytomyr region, a railway track was blown up under a train containing petroleum products.

The police, the region’s GUNP explosives service, employees of the SBU Regional Directorate, rescuers and railway workers worked at the site.
A thorough inspection of the site was conducted and the circumstances clarified.
“It was preliminarily established that during the movement of a freight train between Kalinkovichi and Korosten, an explosion occurred on the tracks and its damage. At the same time, the train carrying petroleum products was not damaged. There were no victims,” the message says. .
