A week ago I said that, in addition to the Americans, Vladislav Gelzin and his partner also requested the Chernomorets stadium. This is Volodymyr Prodivus, the president of the Boxing Federation of Ukraine.
According to the mediators, Gelzin and his partner literally stopped communicating before the tender, and the Americans personally bought the stadium. Gelzin denied me this information. The Americans, he said, were supposed to play the middleman role in this deal, and then they dumped it and bought it themselves.
Representatives of the US investment company completely denied that they were going to reach an agreement with anyone to buy the stadium. They cannot comment on what the mediators representing Gelzin’s side said. But they confirmed that they were going to get into this deal themselves, this is their philosophy.
Now the technical inventory of all the premises is underway. The Americans are ready to enter into substantive negotiations with Leonid Klimov regarding the purchase of Chernomorets. In his opinion, a stadium without a club is an uninteresting story. They are ready to invest in the next 10 years. This involves rebuilding the stadium, investing in the equipment, developing this team and entering the UPL, and bringing this project to the rank of successful, ”Denisov said.
