An activist and volunteer was kidnapped and killed in Kiev

Three people were arrested in Kiev on suspicion of involvement in the kidnapping and murder of a 37-year-old volunteer and activist.

This was reported by the press service of the Kiev city prosecutor’s office. It is observed that according to the investigation material, on March 24, 2021, the detainees allegedly held the victim in his apartment and beat various parts of the body.

After that, they forced him into a car and took him in an unknown direction.

“Having received information from the victim’s family about his disappearance, the law enforcement officers immediately began looking for him. The District Attorney’s Office managed to identify and arrest the probable kidnappers, ”the statement said.

The press service said that the kidnapped man was killed and his body was hidden in an abandoned ditch in the Kiev region.

“On Sunday, March 28, the body of the deceased was found with multiple wounds, including stab wounds. Experts are establishing the cause of death and the mechanism of the injuries,” said the prosecution.

They added that the motive for the crime and possible accomplices are being established.

According to the newspaper “Ukrainskaya Pravda”, a public activist, Alexander Mandich with the call sign “Tashkent”, was killed.
