It’s no secret that the lifecycle of the benchmark AMD Radeon RX 6800 (XT) and Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics cards should be only a few months. Early next year, the “Reds” aim to completely reduce sales of reference solutions, leaving models made by AIB partners on the market. This information was previously confirmed by Scott Herkelman, responsible for the marketing of Radeon products.
Meanwhile, the French web resource Cowcotland discovered through its own sources that AMD has already stopped producing benchmark modifications of the Radeon RX 6800, Radeon RX 6800 XT and Radeon RX 6900 XT. Considering their availability around the world, these 3D accelerator models promise to become a collector’s item for “camp red” supporters.
For the foreseeable future, only Radeon RX 6000 graphics cards from AMD AIB partners will be available on store shelves. Hopefully the company can ship the required number of Navi 21 graphics cores to manufacturers.
